Chicken roll is a delicious and popular dish made with tender chicken pieces, flavorful spices, and wrapped in a soft flatbread. Here's a recipe to help you make chicken rolls:

Ingredients:

For the chicken filling:
  • 250 grams boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Juice of half a lemon
For assembling the rolls:
  • 4-6 flatbreads (such as tortillas, roti, or paratha)
  • Sliced onions
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • Mayonnaise or yogurt sauce
  • Hot sauce or ketchup (optional)
Instructions:

For the chicken filling:
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are no longer pink.
  3. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well to coat the chicken with the spices.
  4. Cook the chicken on medium heat until it is cooked through and tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, add fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well and remove from heat. Set aside.
For assembling the rolls:
  1. Warm the flatbreads on a griddle or in a microwave for a few seconds to make them soft and pliable.
  2. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or yogurt sauce on one side of the flatbread.
  3. Place a portion of the cooked chicken filling on the flatbread, towards one end.
  4. Add sliced onions, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce or cabbage on top of the chicken.
  5. Drizzle some hot sauce or ketchup, if desired, for added flavor.
  6. Roll the flatbread tightly from one end to form a roll, tucking in the sides as you go.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining flatbreads and fillings.
  8. Cut the chicken rolls diagonally into halves or leave them whole.
  9. Serve the chicken rolls immediately as a delicious and filling snack or light meal.
Note: You can customize the filling by adding other vegetables, such as cucumber, bell peppers, or grated carrots, as per your preference. Additionally, you can experiment with different sauces or condiments to suit your taste.
