Tasty Yammi Chicken Roll Recipe
Ingredients:
For the chicken filling:
- 250 grams boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Juice of half a lemon
- 4-6 flatbreads (such as tortillas, roti, or paratha)
- Sliced onions
- Sliced tomatoes
- Shredded lettuce or cabbage
- Mayonnaise or yogurt sauce
- Hot sauce or ketchup (optional)
For the chicken filling:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well to coat the chicken with the spices.
- Cook the chicken on medium heat until it is cooked through and tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.
- Once the chicken is cooked, add fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well and remove from heat. Set aside.
- Warm the flatbreads on a griddle or in a microwave for a few seconds to make them soft and pliable.
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or yogurt sauce on one side of the flatbread.
- Place a portion of the cooked chicken filling on the flatbread, towards one end.
- Add sliced onions, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce or cabbage on top of the chicken.
- Drizzle some hot sauce or ketchup, if desired, for added flavor.
- Roll the flatbread tightly from one end to form a roll, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Repeat the process with the remaining flatbreads and fillings.
- Cut the chicken rolls diagonally into halves or leave them whole.
- Serve the chicken rolls immediately as a delicious and filling snack or light meal.
