Tasty Delicious Hamburger Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef (preferably 80% lean and 20% fat)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, add the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix them together until the seasonings are evenly distributed. Be careful not to overwork the meat, as it can result in a tougher texture.
- Divide the ground beef mixture into equal-sized portions, depending on how large you want your burgers. Shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Use your thumb to create a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- Place the patties onto the preheated grill or skillet. Cook them for about 4-5 minutes on the first side. Avoid pressing down on the patties with a spatula, as it can squeeze out the juices.
- Flip the patties and cook them for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side. If you're adding cheese to your burgers, place a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
- While the patties are cooking, you can lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster if desired.
- Remove the cooked patties from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Assemble your burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your preferred toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise.
- Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger.
- Serve the hamburgers while they're still warm and enjoy!
