How to Make Greek Pizza

Delicious Greek-style Pizza Recipe

Greek-Pizza

Instead of being spread out by hand and baked in an oven, Greek pizza is produced in a metal pan. Additionally, it has a distinct base made of tomato sauce and is prepared with additional olive oil.

The most popular toppings include roasted bell peppers, olives, spinach, feta cheese, etc.; however, they can be changed to your preferences.

Use a deep pan to bake the pizza if you want a Greek pizza to come out perfectly. To add a genuine touch, you might also liberally drizzle on some olive oil.

Greek pizza is known for its flavorful toppings and Mediterranean influences. Here's a recipe for a delicious Greek-style pizza:

Ingredients:
  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced red onions
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the pizza dough package or to 450°F (230°C) if using homemade dough.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone. If using a baking sheet, lightly grease it or line it with parchment paper.
  4. Brush the surface of the dough with olive oil to prevent it from getting soggy.
  5. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Scatter the black olives, cherry tomatoes, and red onions over the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley and oregano on top. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  10. Slice the pizza into wedges and serve.
  11. If desired, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the pizza just before serving for an extra burst of flavor.
Enjoy your homemade Greek-style pizza with its tangy feta cheese, savory olives, and vibrant Mediterranean flavors!
