Chilli Garlic Chutney Recipe - Red Chili Garlic Chutney Recipe
Ingredients:
- 10-12 dried red chilies (adjust quantity based on desired spiciness)
- 6-8 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon tamarind pulp (or tamarind paste)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Soak the dried red chilies in warm water for about 15 minutes to soften them.
- Drain the water from the chilies and remove the stems.
- In a blender or food processor, add the soaked red chilies, garlic cloves, tamarind pulp, vinegar, sugar (if using), and salt.
- Blend the ingredients until you achieve a smooth paste. If needed, you can add a little water to adjust the consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chili-garlic paste to the pan and cook for a few minutes, stirring continuously.
- Cook until the oil starts to separate from the chutney and the raw smell of garlic fades away.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the chutney cool down.
- Transfer the chili garlic chutney to a clean container or jar.
